Meeting schedule for 2021

NOTE: Due to COVID-19 public health concerns, all meetings will be held virtually on Zoom, scheduled for 7PM on the first Monday of each month. Topic: Hernia Prevention: This presentation explains statistics of hernias after ostomy surgery, exercises for prevention, who is at risk of getting a hernia and makes the case on why you should consider wearing a hernia belt for prevention or especially if you already have an existing hernia; also an introduction to the Security Hernia/Ostomy Support Belts offered by Safe n Simple.

 

May:

St. Louis meeting sites, directions

Meetings of the St. Louis chapter of the United Ostomy Association of America are typically held at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at one of the following local hospitals:

 

• St. Luke’s Hospital

Directions: Hwy 141 & Conway, North/South Building, Emerson Auditorium, park in the North/South Parking Garage or in front of the building which is north of the main hospital.  Our meeting rooms are behind the auditorium, which is downstairs in the Atrium, one level below the floor with the fountain. Check the sign for our room number, as it may change from month to month.

 

• Mercy Medical Center
